I hope you enjoyed my What I Wore- St. Lucia edition! Now, let’s get to the fun part of our St. Lucian recap. If you are wanting to go during this weird time of COVID, you will have to fill out some information and have a negative COVID test 7 days prior to arrival.
Once you have all that, you’re good to go!
Where I Stayed
There are a ton of resorts to stay at in St. Lucia, but I would recommend Coconut Bay. This all-inclusive resort not only was beautiful and right on the beach, but the staff was more than amazing. Some of our favorite people were the activities directors- Gillie, Zora, and Dee; while our favorite chef was Marvius- who always had our jerk chicken for lunch ready for us.
The view from our room was nothing short of beautiful and we were greeted with some amazing drinks as soon as we stepped off the bus. Yes, there was also a nice travel bus that picked you up from the airport and took you to the resort, which was only a 2 minute ride!
The pool area in the ‘Serenity’ section, was gorgeous. The DJ was playing such fun and upbeat music and the scenery was so fun and playful.
If you want to have your room serviced, since COVID they are not doing it unless requested, they leave such cute little animals and messages! These were a couple of our little guys.
Where I Ate
For our breakfast and midnight snacks, we used the Coconut Walk Marketplace. Amazing omelets, eggs benedict, crepes, and so much more! What a way to start off your mornings. The hot sauce was a St. Lucian staple and was crazy hot, but also very tasty.
The marketplace had a ton of options to choose from for your breakfast. I loved having a fresh coconut every morning to start off my day.
One of the restaurants at the resort was Calabash, which was a cute little Caribbean cuisine. There is no charge for this diner, since it’s included in the all-inclusive package.
We got to eat the tuna we had caught that day on our deep sea excursion, which was so yummy and mouth watering. Also, a picture of some of the drinks they had.
Our favorite drink was called the dirty banana, which in the US we call it a ‘dirty monkey’. Either way, this drink is basically a chocolate banana milkshake. I didn’t have one of these drinks that was too strong or wasn’t tasty.
A few other restaurants we ate at were Silk, Jerk Tree House, Flip Flops, and Great House at Serenity. If you need a place to eat for lunch, Marvius at Jerk Tree House is the man for you! The jerk chicken was absolutely amazing and so were the peas and rice. Don’t worry, the peas are actually beans.
Flip Flops is another great lunch spot, having the most delicious grilled marlin fish tacos. They also had spectacular burgers and wings. All the restaurants were so fun and full of various choices, it’s hard to pick from.
What I Did
Our first day was our beach day. Laid out in the sun, drinking dirty bananas, and jamming out to some tunes. That night, we got to watch some fire breathing and native dancers during our dinner! It was so fun and energetic. A great way to start off our adventure on this island.
Our first excursion was deep sea fishing ($129/person). Super fun and exciting! The tour guides were so patient and kind, especially since it was my first time to ever do something like this.
See that yellowfin tuna? I caught that! One of the hardest, but most fun fishing experiences I ever had. It took me what felt like forever to reel this thing in, but my friends were so supportive!
Thankfully, everyone caught a fish! Our two friends (Peyton & Koji) caught some barracudas, and my boyfriend caught an wahoo! Peep the giant fish below ♥️
There’s some fun videos for you to watch!
Our second excursion was the All-inclusive Catamaran Land & Sea Adventure ($120/person). This full day land and sea journey sails from Laborie up the west coast of Saint Lucia to the town of Soufriere, home of the Majestic Pitons.
The catamaran then heads to two swim stops along the coast of Soufriere. After this, a tasty buffet lunch is served at a local restaurant. While in Soufriere guests get a guided tour through the volcano or mud bath and beautiful Torraile Waterfall.
Here are some of our snorkeling videos! 19/10 would recommend! It was gorgeous and so fun to see all the little colorful fish. The lunch at the local restaurant was a buffet style and was so yummy and filling!
The mud baths were steamy and relaxing, much needed after a day of swimming. We got to stop by a beautiful waterfall and take a dip in the cool water beforehand.
For our next couple of days, we hung out at the beach and played beach volleyball with some new friends! At night, we liked to hang out in the bar/lounge and play some poll or ping pong.
The boys had combined volleyball and ping pong to create volleypong- one of our new favorite games.
I would suggest going to St. Lucia even during this C-19 time. They are so safe and following restrictions, but you don’t feel like you are in a prison or can’t do anything.
Enjoy St. Lucia! Happy travels, heles ♥️
