My Engagement Story

So I’ve been getting some questions about how my fiance proposed to me? Well, I would love to tell you! First off, I will say that I had absolutely no clue this was happening. We go on a family trip every year, and this year on July 12, 2021 was my grandparents 40th wedding anniversary & now, my engagement!

Naturally, we wanted to do something big for them. So, we took a trip to Destin, FL and spent a whole week in an airbnb house. It was so fun having everyone together; mom, siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins. It was one of the best trips we could’ve taken.

Here’s a few full family photos! All the girls and then the whole clan❤️ So, we all said we were going to take family photos in white outfits (hint the pics). I didn’t think anything of it, just “oh that makes sense. Take pics for gran and paps’ anniversary”, right?

WRONG!

Apparently that day, there was supposed to be a storm. Not just a small one, I’m talking a huge tsunami like storm! We spent the day at the beach, had some drinks and great seafood. Then we all went back to the house to change and ready for the pics.

I’ve never been so rushed in my life! Here’s some pics of what we walked up to.

When I tell you there was literally 70 people standing around this sandcastle, I still had no idea what was happening. It wasn’t until I saw the sandcastle that I realized I was dressed for my own engagement!

There was even a lady that asked me before, “Are you the one getting married?” and I was beyond confused. Thankfully, my brother just looked at me and said, “she’s crazy”. My whole family was in on it and it was the best way I could’ve been asked to spend the rest of my life with my person.♡

Right as I said yes, it DOWN POURED on us! So, imagine all of us in white sprinting through this rain, in the sand, and trying to get some sort of pics. Definitely a memory no one would forget.
