Why not take a fun sister trip to Miami Beach? Especially during this weird time in the world. Though we did encounter some not-so-fun moments, overall it was a fun experience.
Where I Stayed
For our sister trip, we stayed at the Confidante Hotel in Miami Beach. I was impressed with the precautions that this hotel had taken during COVID. Masks required while walking through the hotel, hand sanitizer stations throughout, and staff reinforcing these rules.
The hotel has a private area on the beach with colorful umbrellas to stand out. No extra cost, just check in with the host stand! Not only was the umbrella/lounge chairs relaxing, but the drinks were just as good! Staff was constantly checking to see if guests needed refills or refreshments.
The Confidante had a cute little restaurant within the hotel, but a little more on the pricey side so just be aware. Overall, a nice experience and recommended for those who do want to be on the beach, but not in the city.
Where I Ate
Every morning, my sister and I would have our breakfast at the hotel restaurant Ambersweet. Naturally, you need to start your day with a mimosa and parfait.
Since COVID, Miami Dade county was under the ‘no inside dining’ law, so everything was outside. Which wasn’t so bad since the weather was always sunny and content.
For lunches/dinners, we would venture out into the town and dine at the local cuisines. Some of the restaurants we ate at where CVI.CHE 105, On Ocean 7 Cafe, Yardbird, The Social Club, and Naked Taco.
I love to shop, so exploring the towns shops was one of my favorite things to do. Make sure you pack an umbrella or rain jacket, because it does downpour for about 30-45 minutes every day.
As for the pricing of food in Miami Beach, I would say it is usually a mid-range meal (about $10-15 per meal). However, if you want a more fine dining experience, then it is more $20-40 per plate. Either way, there are ample shops and diners with tons of options that won’t disappoint.
What I Did
Most of our time was spent at the beach or in the pool, soaking up all the rays we could. Sadly, COVID had limited a lot of the activities we could do, but that didn’t stop us!
Why not explore the town and find the fun murals, shops, and the mall. Once COVID is over, you could do a ton of sight seeing tours, day trips to Key West, and so much more! The Miami Beach boardwalk was a fun walk with a beautiful view of greenery.
If you can, wait until less restrictions are in Miami Beach before heading out! I would’ve loved to do a helicopter ride or one of the everglade tours. Even during this crazy time, it was a fun trip to share with my sister ♥️
Make sure to check out my post on what I wore in Miami!
Happy travels, heles ♥️ xo
