On Saturday, my boyfriend and I decided to take a picnic to our local Botanical Gardens. It was absolutely gorgeous and the weather was perfect.
I decided to dress in a fun floral dress and pair it with a jean jacket. Now, I’m not sure if you’ve seen, but a ton of my favorite bloggers swear by this look. At first, I wasn’t quite sure, but after seeing the full look, I fell in love! Who would’ve thought to pair this cute dress with some vans and call it a day?
Oh, who’s that handsome fella? ♥️ Our cute little picnic setup is the one at the end! Note to self and everyone going on a picnic- take a blanket! It didn’t ruin the picnic, but it definitely would’ve been nice to have one. We packed some various meats and cheeses, some hummus and pita chips, and wine! Have to have the necessities.
After our little picnic, we went into the gardens to work off our meal. It seems more people had the same idea we did, because it was pretty busy.
I really enjoyed the small ponds throughout and the zen garden in the Japanese Garden. The middle picture is a candid that my boyfriend took. He’s working on his photography skills and I give this a 10/10! Look at those gorgeous tulips! So many colors, it was beautiful.

I can’t wait for summer! Spring is just a little taste and I’m already excited. So get out there and go find yourself a nice spot to enjoy a picnic. Maybe even take some fun photos in your fun outfit.
If you’re ever in Fort Worth, definitely check out the Botanical Gardens. Right now, the tulips are in bloom! There’s a ton of garden options and gorgeous flowers to go with them. Fun fact, my grandparents even got married here! ♥️ how cute?
