Have you ever wondered what fashion in New York is like? Well wonder no more!
I’m here to show you my experience for a weekend in NYC during Fashion Week.
First off, the flight from DFW to NYC. I took the cheap option and went Spirit Airlines… don’t make my mistake!
New York is probably my favorite city in the US. I love the hustle and bustle of everything and just how lively it is.
The fashion event I attended was sponsored by Art Hearts Fashion at a venue called Angel Orensanz Foundation.
The whole place was absolutely gorgeous! An art museum is the perfect place for a runway show.
The first night, I dressed in some maroon low rise jeans with a black body suit. The cardigan was just the touch needed to show off the “Everything’s Bigger in Texas” flare, along with the snakeskin boots from Altar’d State.
Of course, why not hold up your pants with a Gucci belt and match it with a designer MK handbag.
Find this look at the end! Or go to my LIKEtoKNOW.it page and search Ravemichele.
Night one was full of so many designers, photographers, and models! An appearance by Miss New York herself, Miss Nia Franklin.
She looked stunning in her striped dress.
The pictures above are just a few from the first night runway show.
The designers for night one are as follows:
– Raul Penaranda
– Willet Designs
– Grayling Pernell
– Merlin Castell
All amazing designs to make such a wonderful night.
Obviously, I had to spend my Saturday exploring around NYC. So lace up those thigh high boots and throw on a sweater and we’re good to go!
First stop was some delicioso bagels with a hot coffee. Next, a trip through Chinatown and a quick stop at H&M for some shopping.
I spent the day with a new friend, Jasmine. She definitely made the day more fun!
Finally, it’s time for the second day of shows.
Ow ow! Now that’s more what I’m talking about!
A satin high slit dress with some strapless black heels. The second night was full of flashing lights and diamonds.
What’s a little more bling in your life? Pearls and Kendra Scott earrings definitely help brighten up a room.
The second night designers are as follows:
– Ashlyn So
– Stada Boutique
– Alycesaundral
– Ydamis Simo
– Chick NYC
– Tete Rosado
– Alex Carter
– Fernando Alberto Atelier
– Kentaro Kameyama
– Domingo Zapata
Now my fav designer of the night was Tete Rosado! Her designs were exactly my personality, so full of diamonds, shimmer and flare. This woman is a genius!

Definitely going to have Tete design my wedding dress one day!
After the show, it was full of networking and mingling with the models and designers.
Can’t wait to go back in September for the Fall Fashion Week!
That’s all for today, heles!
XOXO Rave
