How many of you have seen Gossip Girl? I’m hoping a lot of you. Well, this is a little story of how the Blair Waldorf and Serena Van der Woodsen of College Station get a little taste of Hollywood.
A couple days ago, I received an email inviting me to audition for a part on Disney channel. Of course, I did my research to make sure The Industry Network was legit and real. To my surprise they were a showcase agency and were not sketchy.
The reviews were positive and claimed they were a legit company.
So my roommate and I are best friends, though we don’t have Blair and Serena’s history, we do have a bond that is stronger than most.
She helped pick out my outfit and do my hair while I practiced my lines for the audition. She was my biggest fan while I rehearsed and she would give me feedback as needed.
Then, we arrived at the audition space. I was wearing a Nordstrom’s upscale dress with pink contrasting and stopped above my knee. I paired it with black strapped heels and Kendra Scott jewelry.
The Kendra Scott earrings are my good luck charm because it was the first present I ever received from my boyfriend.
I know, gross. But whatevs. They’re cute.
My roomie was wearing an 80’s white jumper with black paint brush marks plastered everywhere. She paired her look with a black blazer and black fuzzy snow boots.
We were the most extra people at this audition. But who cares? We were there for fun and experience.
During the audition, I took head shots and performed my lines for one of the casting agents. She was super sweet and I felt comfortable around her.

I think I did a pretty good job because my roomie was clapping and freaking out after I finished.
The lady also seemed pleased and told me she loved my personality and skills. She wanted me to come back tomorrow for the final callbacks.
Pretty great, right? Well that’s not all, shell gals.
The Serena Van der Woodsen of Cstat auditioned, too! The agent loved my roomie and mine’s energy we played off each other and asked her to audition.
My roomie just read the lines from a paper, but the agent still loved us! So Blair and Serena are on our way to a little taste of Hollywood.
After leaving the audition, there was snow! Mind you, I live in Texas so snow is very rare.
So after rock’n our audition, we went to On The Border for some margarita’s and queso.
If you’re ever at On The Border and need a good drink, I highly recommend the Mango Tango Margarita.
After a nice hot meal and some basic roommate bonding, my roomie and I decided to play in the snow like the typical college girls we are.
There was a huge snowball fight on our campus, so why not join the other students in pegging each other with balls of frozen water?
This was truly a winter wonderland for these two wannabe Hollywood stars.
Thanks for tuning in!
