Kara is a classy woman with an elegant style. Now don’t expect to get a sneak peak in this post, but I want to take you on the adventure and give you some helpful tricks.
Tips to Know Before You Go
- Wear nude underwear – this might seem obvious, but you would be surprised!
- Bring a strapless bra, or go commando!
- Bring a pair of shoes that are similar to your wedding day shoes
- Have someone be the designated photographer to get all the pictures of the dresses you try on
For Kara, I made sure to take all the angles of the dresses and take notes so she could go back and remember what she liked about certain dresses and what she didn’t. This helps the bride remember their day.
Our first stop, Blush Bridal. A super cute place for any DFW bride. While our bride didn’t find her dress here, there were still great options!
Our next stop, Emerald Bridal Lounge. If you’re in the DFW area and looking for a gorgeous dress for under $4k, I HIGHLY recommend this place. The area was super cute and so fun and inviting. Our assistant helping us was amazing as well.
We did stop at David’s Bridal, but these options are not as quality as some of the boutiques in the area. David’s Bridal is a great place to get an idea of what style of dress you want, but I would highly suggest Emerald Bridal Lounge out of all the places in the area!
After trying on 23 dresses, yes… that’s right! Kara decided to go back another weekend and try on her top 3 options and ended up finding her dream dress!
My biggest advice for any bride is that you don’t have to choose a dress the first day you go shopping! If you’re not sure, take a break! Go get lunch, clear your mind, and come back when you’ve had a chance to look back at the photos and weigh your options.
