Just Touch Down In Cali Town

Peep the music reference, “American Boy” by Estelle and Kayne West! A great song if you’ve never heard it.

Now, I don’t know about you, but I am a food lover. Cali has some of the best food I have ever had! So get your napkin ready, because you’re about to be drooling.

We landed in Ontario, CA later in the afternoon so our first stop was lunch at The Lazy Dog! Yummy ♡︎ I had the ultimate dog, which included coleslaw, sweet potato fries, house chips mayo, and so much more.

We stayed in Huntington Beach, CA!

For dinner, we went to a Chinese restaurant. I have an obsession with sushi, like an unhealthy amount. This dish was a mango/crab/cucumber concoction and paired perfectly with a glass of white wine.

The next morning was a quick breakfast in the hotel, The Hyatt Regency. If you need a place to stay, I would HIGHLY recommend them! The staff was amazing and helpful, the hotel was beautiful and pristine.

Above is my partial ocean view room! The pool was gorgeous and it was so peaceful to wake up to the waves. The sun is waving hello, if you couldn’t tell!

For lunch, we went to one of my new favorite restaurants: Slap Fish. I’ve told so many people to try this place out if they’re going to Cali. I got a shrimp po-boy, but I had to capture the other foods.

Also featured is a lobster grinder and fish nachos. All the food was delicious. Slap Fish is almost like a Subway for seafood, for those of you Texas folks.

Shoutout to my friend for taking these fun photos for me so I can feel tumblr. We ended up going to a strip mall by the hotel and getting a few drinks; which I got a martini- the best of drinks!

For dinner, I had some BBQ shrimp tacos! Let me tell you, this is a little Texas and Cali mixed together and is AMAZEBALLS!

Paired again with some white wine! My grandmother calls me a wino, so I live up to the name.

The next day, we took a trip to the Santa Monica Pier! Sadly, it wasn’t as nice as we had hoped, but you always make the best of a situation!

We walked the pier, listened to various instrumentalists, and took some bomb photos. If you’re wondering, yes I got in trouble for taking that pic on top of the game. YOLO, right?
